Saw-Dog Coffee Roasters’ Better Together Blend delivers a consistent mix of bright and sweet notes riding on rich, full body darker tones – think sweet and earthy at the same time. The combination is a coffee experience that covers a range of preferences. Our fluid bed roasting process ensures origin tones can still be spotted, but also creates a distinct, enjoyable blend.  

 

SINGLE ORIGIN:

PERUVIAN — Light Roast

SPICY, FLORAL, SWEET, FULL BODY, WELL-BALANCED, COMPLEX

Peruvian coffees are often referred to as consistent, mellow, and smooth with mild acidity. Sourced from the northern, high-altitude regions of Peru, this roast highlights notes of nutty chocolate. Paper filter in a drip coffee maker? No problem! This roast finely ground and brewed in a pour over, will recalibrate your definition of smooth coffee.

GUATEMALAN — Medium Roast

CHOCOLATE, HAZELNUT, AND CITRUS

Our Guatemalan heirloom coffee from the Nahuala region features sweet, clean and bright aromas of hazelnut. The flavor is rich, with notes of chocolate, citrus and roasted nuts, and a super smooth finish. Best brewed as a finely ground pour over, or a medium grind through metal screen/filter.  

PERUVIAN — Dark Roast

SPICY, FLORAL, SWEET, FULL BODY, WELL-BALANCED, COMPLEX

Peruvian coffees are delicately sweet and round, with a low level of acidity. Our Peruvian coffee is lightly sweet and fragrant, with a discreet but vibrant acidity. Simply put, this is our most versatile coffee. It’s perfect for a range of brew methods, from a robust single origin espresso in the classic northern Italian style or a cup with sweet additions out of a french press.

SUMATRAN — Dark Roast

FLORAL, FRUITY, SWEET AORMAS OF VANILLA AND PIPE TOBACCO, WITH RICH, LUSH, AND SMOOTH FLAVORS OF BLACK CHERRY AND COCOA.

The combination of altitude, volcanic soil, and wet-hull processing makes Sumatran our most complex coffee.  You can expect this brew to be a bit heavier on the front-end, smooth, low acidity, spicy, and with a touch of earthy syrup on the back-end. Sumtran is a strong choice for pour-over brews or through a reusable (non-paper) screen in a drip coffee maker. 

PERUVIAN DECAF — Medium Roast

SPICY, FLORAL, SWEET, FULL CREAMY BODY, WELL-BALANCED, COMPLEX

The trademark “Swiss Water Process” removes caffeine from the coffee without the use of solvents or chemicals, so you never have to worry about how your decaffeinated coffee was processed. The taste also delivers, with a combination of subtle sweetness, gentle acidity, and round flavor that make it perfect for roasting and brewing as either an espresso or drip brew.
